The longest day trip was our journey to Melk to see the Benedictine Abbey of Melk. This huge site was originally a castle built in 1089. Later a monastery which was bebuilt between 1702 and 1738.
From Melk we boarded a boat for a cruise on the Danube to the town of Krems. From Krems, we then got the train for our trip back to Kuchl. A very long day but a great journey!
