We flew back to Chengdu from Lhasa, spent a casual afternoon, then visited a Giant Panda sanctuary the next day. The lovable Giant Pandas were on the verge of extinction and still have a very small worldwide population.
The sanctuary center we visited has done extensive research into helping them survive. It was fascinating watching some juveniles play. They behaved just like children everywhere!
