The next leg of our trip took us to Mystras, built in1249, where the only remaining residents are a small group of nuns in the convent. After a short visit to Sparta, we arrived at Nafplio where we stayed two nights. As a day trip from Nafplio we visited Mycenae, a site occupied about 1600 - 1200 BC and where the mask of Agamemnon was found.
