Our Trips (2023 - on)

This trip in May 2023 was a return to Scandinavia for us. This time we joined a Rick Steves tour which included Sweden where we had not been before. We also stopped in Iceland a few days on our return home. The Iceland map itinerary will be included on a separate web page.

This map, courtesy of Rick Steves company, depicts the route we followed from Stockholm Sweden to Bergen Norway on our two week tour. The numbers in the circles are the number of nights we stayed at each location.

Our group of 27 travelers met at our initial hotel in Stockholm with our tour leader, Asa. Over the next two weeks we would come to appreciate Asa’s leadership as well as her interest in having us learn about Scandanavian history and culture. As is typical for Rick Steves tours, when we were in a city about half of each day we were on our own to explore.

Most of the pages for each country have too many photos for a single screen. If there are, navigation arrows will appear at the top of each page.

On each page of photos, if you click your mouse cursor on a photo, a larger image will be displayed. You can then sequence through the photos using the navigation arrows on each side of your screen. Also a small circle icon at the top right of that window will start and stop a slideshow of the photos. The “X” at the top right of that screen will exit back to the original window. The slideshow timing is set for 5 seconds for each photo.
