This was our trip to Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Zion and Death Valley National Parks. We spent the weekend in Las Vegas, then drove the rest of the trip. We were only on the south rim of Grand Canyon. The north rim was not open yet. No pictures of Las Vegas - "what happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas".
By going in March-April we had pleasant weather and few crowds. We had a perfect weather day hiking along the rim of Grand Canyon. However, the next day rain and fog arrived and there was no canyon to be seen! Rain in Bryce also ended our planned hiking there. Due to the elevation, we had snow in part of Bryce! Farther south in Zion, the weather was delightful so we lingered there longer than originally planned while taking advantage of the many hiking trails there. Our final park visit was to Death Valley. The contrast from snow at elevations in Bryce to the lowest point in the North America was fascinating.
