Our arrival city was Madrid where we spent a few days at the beginning and end of our trip. One of our highlights here was having dinner one night with a cousin of Russ’s and his wife, both of whom live in Madrid.
Segovia was a day trip from Madrid via local bus. It was a great place to stroll around and we had one of the best tapas lunches of the trip there.
Cordoba was a train stop on our way from Madrid to Seville. The mezquita there was massive and the city was interesting, but tourist laden. Cordoba deserved more time but compromises had to be made.
