We returned to Madrid via train from Granada. Toledo was a day trip from Madrid by local bus. An interesting city where everywhere you go seems to be uphill.
Our final day trip out of Madrid was to El Escorial. This place is high and tends to be quite chilly. This is where the Spanish monarchy is burried. An interesting place but not on par with our other day trips.
