In late October we journeyed to the Amalfi Coast area of Italy with friends Rich and Mary Ingrao. We had apartments for one week, arranged through Untours, in the small town of Atrani. You won’t find Atrani on this map because it is very small compared to its neighbor Amalfi. It is only a 15 minute walk between the two so Amalfi gets their name on the map. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, this was our third attempt at this trip. Barb and I had been to the Amalfi coast previously on Rick Steves tours. Since our command of the Italian language is slight, and Rich and Mary fluent Italian speakers, this was a chance to visit the area as a different experience.
After our week in Atrani we traveled by train from Naples to Rome where we bummed around an additional five days. From Rome we did one day trip to Tivoli to see the Villa d’Este garden fountains.
