Our time in Croatia was just one day. Grand Circle and the sister operation, Overseas Adventure Travel, always have some form of home visit on their tours. The group was split into manageable grops and each visited a home where each had lunch with the resident. In our case the resident did not speak English so one of the GCT leaders ate with us. It was interesting to see her home and talk to the lady while we enjoyed our home prepared lunch.

We thought the town of Vukovar was a bit depressing. We made a brief stop at the memorial cemetary for holocast victims with an impressive memorial.
