Four Pass Trip

This day was a break from our usual activitiies. The Postbuses are integrated with the Swiss Rail schedules for the transportation system in this mountainous region. Using regular scheduled runs they promote a trip that goes over four passes at a fixed price rather than passengers purchasing individual tickets. We went on the four pass trip which left Meiringen at 9:30 a.m. and returned at 6 pm. A couple stops are long enough to get off the bus. One stop is long enough to have lunch at a local restaurant. At that point you have crossed the Alps into the Ticino region where Italian is the dominate language. This trip, while we liked it, would not be recommended for anyone who has motion sickness issues. The trip is loaded with switchback turns!
