Russ & Barb’s Travels

Torres del Paine

Torres del Paine National park encompasses mountains, glaciers, lakes and rivers in southern Patagonia. The excursion included a bus ride through some of the park then a short hike to Salto Grande, the main waterfall in Torres del Paine. It turned out to be very rainy day and the temperature dropped while we were hiking! We had hiked to this waterfall on our previous Patagonia trip so thought it would be fun to go back. Because of the weather, the fun part was not there! The waterfall, however, still looked the same as it had a few years before. Our photographer was able to get some photos of some of the wildlife that are common to the area.
