Valley of the Temples is an incredible collection of Greek temples near Agrigento. The main doric temples here were built around the 5th century BC. Unfortunately earthquakes and raiders have reduced most of the area to rubble. Some restoration has been done, however.

Segesta is another site of wonderfully preserved Greek ruins. These folks must have been athletes. It is an uphill hike to the temple and a really uphill hike to the theater. We used the shuttle bus to go to the theater. There are a few other structures near the theater.
