After an extended wait at the border to cross into Croatia from Hungary we made our way to Plitvice Lakes National Park. Plitvice is a meandering chain of waterfalls. We had visited Plitvice previously on our Rick Steves Adriatic tour but found the park just as fascinating as we had on our first visit.
Our next stop in Croatia was the coastal village of Rovinj. The day in Rovinj was what Rick Steves tours describe as “your vacation from your vacation”. i.e. you are totally on your own for the day. Rovinj proved to be a great location to simply relax and sight see for the day and evening!
