Keukenhof Gardens is located near the city of Lisse. It is a park of about 80 acres and claims to plant about 7 million flower bulbs annually. Various growers plant the different “gardens” in varying designs that will be producing blooms over the time the park is open from mid March through mid May. There are also some pavilions on the grounds with specialty displays.
It is impossible to describe the colorful scenery there. We visited the park for about six hours and that required us to keep moving. If one stopped to read all of the signs a visit could easily take several days.
You will note a photo of a producer’s sign. We took a photo of this because that grower is from Gurnee, Illinois!
