Ferrol
After the two day trip crossing the Bay of Biscay we arrived at the port of Ferrol Spain. Due to the depth of the harbor, narrow entrance and position, Ferrol became a major naval and ship building center. Today there are still several major ship building yards here.
Ferrol is one of the starting points of the English Way of the Camino de Santiago. Due to the requirement that pilgrims travel 100 km by foot to be officially recognized, the city is a popular starting point for those traversing the English Way..
