Russ & Barb’s Travels
Vigo
Vigo is a port city in northwest Spain. The location on the water has historically made it a frequent military target as well as an important trade port. It is also on the path for those traversing the English Way.
The terrain goes up steeply from the waterfront area. There are a series of covered escalators in one area of the city for those who do not want to, or can’t, walk or drive up.
Residential windows with curved glass are fairly common. Apparently curved window panes are no longer available. When one of the curved panes has to be replaced, a series of narrow flat panes are used to simulate the original curved pane.
