In September 2014 we enjoyed two weeks in the Swiss Heartland town of Lungern in an apartment arranged through Untours. With our Swiss rail pass we traveled throughout the Heartland and Oberland regions. We then traveled by train to Innsbruck, Austria. Having only been there previously for a few hours, we wanted to return to not only visit Innsbruck but the nearby town of Hall. We then journeyed the lengthy train day to Ljubljana Slovenia. In Ljubljana we joined a Rick Steves’ Adriatic tour. The following two weeks we, along with an amiable group of fellow travelers, made our way down the Adriatic taking in the sights and culture of Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia. After the tour we remained in Dubrovnik to visit Montenegro and spend an addditional day exploring the beautiful city of Dubrovnik more thoroughly. The map above depicts the areas covered on this trip.
