In October 2006 we, along with our neighbor friends Kevin and Beth, spent three weeks in Italy. We started in Varenna on Lake Como, then two weeks in Umbria at an agriturismo through Untours, followed by a few days in the Cinque Terre before returning to Milan for our flight home.
Our last stop before flying back home was Milan. This was just part of an afternoon since we had an early run to the airport the next morning. We toured the fashion district where Barb and Beth window shopped (only!). Since we had been to Milan previously, there aren't any photos of Milan. See our Italy 2002 trip for pictures of Milan.
This was a very different Europe trip for us since for the first time we stayed in one location an extended period of time. Even though we have spent a few days in one location before, this gave us the chance to see an area in depth. Using the Untours company was a great experience. Their thoroughness was appreciated yet we very much were on our own once we were settled into our location.
