In mid September 2017 we were in the small town of Frutigen, Switzerland for two weeks in an apartment arranged through Untours. From there we made our way via train to Salzburg, Austria. After an overnight in Salzburg we traveled via shuttle van to Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic. From Cesky Krumlov we went by public bus to Prague where we joined a Rick Steves Eastern Europe tour. During the following two weeks the tour made a whirlwind trip through Poland, Hungary and Croatia ending up on Lake Bled, Slovenia. We had toured some of Croatia and Slovenia on a previous Rick Steves tour in 2014 but that did not detract from the scenery in those regions! The map above depicts the region covered in this trip.
